Introduction to Pediatric Research

About the Project

Client: Pharmaceutical Company
Made with: Storyline, Photoshop, Illustrator
Time in Development: 3 months
Collaborators: Daniel Villarreal, 4 teams consisting of an instructional designer, production artist, and programmer/developer.

Background:

Client had a need to develop four large training modules (approximately 45 minutes each), in a very short amount of time. Since they would be provided to the entire sales force, they wanted a design that would capture the learner’s attention combined with a high level of interactivity.

While we could work on all four courses concurrently, the challenge was to design them so that they felt like part of a curriculum, with similar designs and functionality.

Solution Developed:

The design approach was to have one team start first and define the overall instructional approach. Then the graphic artists developed several designs for the client to choose from. Next, the developers worked with an initial script to build a prototype for the other teams to follow. From there all 4 teams worked in tandem with one person over-seeing the art direction and production to ensure consistency across all the courses.

Results:

The result was a very successful training series that achieved all the client’s goals and met their budget and timelines.
